Last Updated: March 2026
Your privacy and data integrity are the foundation of our service. Here is the high-level summary of how SKYEWORX handles your information:
- Data Collection: We only collect the data necessary to perform backups and restores for your Atlassian Cloud environments.
- Authentication: We use your Azure email for secure login. We do not see or store your passwords.
- Encryption: Your data is encrypted both while it is moving (in transit) and while it is stored (at rest).
- No Selling: We never sell your personal or organizational data to third parties.
- Control: You have full control over your backup schedules, retention policies, and the data you choose to restore.
Our Commitment to Data Privacy
At SKYEWORX, we understand that the data stored in your Jira, JSM, and Confluence environments is your most valuable asset. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our Atlassian Cloud backup and restore platform. By using SKYEWORX, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.
Information Required for Service Delivery
To provide reliable enterprise-grade backups, SKYEWORX collects specific categories of information:
- Account Information: When you log in via Azure email, we collect your name and email address to manage your account and provide support.
- Atlassian Metadata: To perform granular restores, we index metadata from your Atlassian sites, including issue keys, page titles, comments, and project structures.
- Authentication Tokens: We use secure OAuth tokens to communicate with Atlassian APIs. SKYEWORX does not store your Atlassian or Azure credentials.
- Usage Data: We collect diagnostic data such as backup success rates and restore history, which is visible to you via the Backup Insights dashboard.
Purpose of Processing
SKYEWORX uses the collected data exclusively for the following purposes:
- Backup Operations: Creating redundant copies of your Jira and Confluence data at your requested intervals (6 or 12 hours).
- Restoration Services: Enabling point-in-time recovery of projects, issues, epics, and page hierarchies.
- Service Improvements: Analyzing technical logs to optimize backup speed and reliability.
- Communication: Providing critical system updates, security alerts, and technical support.
Protecting Your Enterprise Assets
Security is built into every layer of the SKYEWORX infrastructure. We employ industry-leading standards to ensure your data remains protected:
- Encryption: All data is protected with AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.2+ encryption in transit.
- Isolation: Client data is logically isolated to prevent unauthorized access between different organizations.
- Infrastructure: We utilize secure cloud infrastructure (including AWS and Azure) with built-in redundancy to prevent data loss.
- Access Control: We implement strict internal access controls to ensure that only authorized SKYEWORX systems can process your backup data.
Atlassian, Azure, and AWS
SKYEWORX interacts with trusted third-party platforms to deliver our services:
- Atlassian: We connect to your Jira and Confluence sites via official APIs to retrieve and restore data.
- Microsoft Azure: We use Azure for secure identity management and user authentication.
- AWS Marketplace: If you purchase SKYEWORX through the AWS Marketplace, basic billing information is shared between SKYEWORX and Amazon Web Services to facilitate your subscription.
Access and Deletion
As the owner of your data, you have the right to:
- Access: View your backup status and history at any time via the SKYEWORX dashboard.
- Deletion: Request the permanent deletion of your backed-up data. Please note that deleting backups will remove your ability to perform future restores.
- Portability: Export your backup logs and history for your own internal compliance audits.
Essential Cookies Only
The SKYEWORX platform uses essential cookies to maintain your session and security during login. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising or third-party marketing profiles within our backup application.
Policy Updates
